More Deer
Deer passing like grey shadows in the pale light of the waning moon. If I am very quiet, they ignore me. Still, my night vision is poor, and they are startled by lights. I'm unable to tell when they are looking at me, or even if they are looking at me. They walk slowly along the street, sniffing at hedges, grazing a bit. Sometimes I catch a dim silhouette of antlers. They stay for a while, then move on. It is very quiet after they have gone.
