Dry

Going down the hill to the market I caught glimpses of the valley floor, revealed after many days of being lost under fog. I could even see the rumpled outline of the coast range across the valley. The last traces of the storm have departed, and the air is stunningly clear. A few more sunny days are expected now. So far, the winter is proving to be a bit dryer than usual. The snowpack is a bit shallow for early January. We might be moving back toward a dry cycle. And here I am with a brand new hoodie jacket I've bought just for wearing in the rain!
