Good Scents

There are actual sprinkles falling right now. They began just before nightfall. It's unlikely to turn into real rain, but it smells like rain, and that's a nice change. It now looks as though it won't get hot at all this week, and there's a chance of rain again on Friday, but it will get hot again next week. The smell of rain won't last long, but today I noticed that the jasmine is about to bloom, so by the time the weather turns hot again there will probably be perfume in the air. The moon will be getting big by then, too, so there should be some pleasant nights to compensate for those sultry days. Jasmine and moonlight go so well together.
