Reset Forty, Day Thirty-Four
Wednesday turned into an early sleep day. By ten o'clock in the evening I was exhausted and went to bed, and didn't wake up until after two in the morning. I then spent a couple of hours trying to get back to sleep but only catnapping between bouts of my brain playing hamster wheel, and finally got up at four. Since then I have mostly muddled about in confusion, but since I've been sitting at the computer no harm has befallen any furnishings.
Wednesday also brought a partial resolution to the problem of how to handle the settlement I'll be getting from the PG&E lawsuit. More needs to be done, but now I at least have an idea of what direction to go. There is light at the end of the tunnel, which is not to say that there isn't going to be a bottomless pit in the floor of the tunnel into which I will fall and be lost, but at least the bit of light might reveal that hole to me before I go down it. I suspect I'll still go down it anyway, but will have less excuse for having done it. Inside very silver lining, as we all know, there's a big, dark cloud. I do enjoy a nice grey day.
There was an actual cooked dinner Wednesday, since the weather was still rather cool, but because I went to bed early the dishes are still unwashed. That sets the tone for today. I'll get around to it eventually. Or not. Since I only got about four hours of actual sleep maybe I'll go back to bed. After the English muffins I just ate settle. In the meantime, catch up with the Internet. I haven't followed it carefully the last few days and it probably needs a lot of correcting.
