Reset Forty-Three, Day Two
Sunday morning I got to sleep rather late, but only slept about four hours, matching the time I'd slept on Saturday night and earlier Sunday morning. Since they added up to eight hours I suppose I'm rested, though it doesn't really feel like it. There was a sandwich for dinner, with some surely unhealthy macaroni salad, which is not very salad-like. But I also had some watermelon, which I believe is an actual fruit and probably good for me despite being rather tasty. Such things happen, I don't plan them. If I did I'm sure they wouldn't work out.
Outside it has grown quite pleasantly cool after the still-too-sultry day. There will be fairly cool nights for the rest of the week, and the next period of warm nights and triple-digit days doesn't start until a week from today. If not especially delightful, at least this week could turn out to be be less than utterly miserable. And I have more grapes to pick. For the last hour or so I've heard the mockingbird singing every time I go out to enjoy the nocturnal coolness. I suppose it sleeps in the daytime, like me. It's nice to know I'm not the only one.
