Reset Forty-Four, Day Three

Wednesday was mild enough, and I finally felt like I was recovering from the relentless horrors of summer. There was another decent sized meal with hot stuff in it, though I left it until rather late in the evening. There was almost a nap after that, but I got distracted and became more awake again. I finally remembered to water the plants in the back yard, now that milder weather means they need it less. Actually I might have watered then sometime in the last week, but I really don't remember. The weather is not yet autumnal, but my brain is dropping its foliage of memories all over the place.

The latest forecast has an unexpected event in it. Not only is next Sunday expected to have a high of a mere 63 degrees, but it and the subsequent Monday and Tuesday each have a greater than 50% chance of bringing showers. It would be very odd if I had to start using gas in the furnace in the same month that the air conditioner was devouring so much electricity. But if it means a bit of rain, bring it on.

Still being awake this time of night is never a good idea. I'm going to bed.
