Reset Forty-Seven, Day Twenty-Two

Early Tuesday morning there was a good sized earthquake over on the coast, but I don't remember feeling it. I actually don't remember what I was doing at that hour, so I might have been sleeping, but whatever I was doing I missed the earthquake. I did do quite a bit of sleeping Tuesday, including several hours in the evening which caused me to forget to check the mailbox, and it's very odd to remember what I didn't do more clearly than what I did do.

Dinner was some frozen Asian stuff, with enough left over for another meal, and it made a nice change though it was rather expensive. Extra heat from having the oven on is a nice bonus this time of year, but I'm sure it doesn't cut much off the cost. The furnace has been running a lot the last few days, but we should get a break soon. Thursday and Friday could bring rain, and the clouds should help retain some warmth. Christmas Day might even be balmy for the time of year, even by local standards, getting up into the sixties.

I've been drinking so much cocoa lately that I'm apt to run out of milk sooner than I expected. I might have to arrange a store run, or maybe a delivery. I hate doing that this time of year, but it's better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick, though what that has to do with the price of beans I don't know, and probably won't find out, having lately gone batshit crazy. It's probably hallucinogens in the chemtrails. Or dementia. Or the desperation of just pain boredom.
