Reset Forty-Nine, Day Three Hundred Sixty-Two
My evening naps have been getting longer. Wednesday I pushed it all the way to half past two in the morning. I wasn't asleep the entire time, of course, but I probably got six hours total. Skipping dinner seems to help. Wednesday's dinner was only going to be a sandwich anyway, so it will make a good lunch today, if I'm awake for that.
It's mild in here again this morning. Only 71 degrees, though it will be going up soon. Wednesday evening the apartment got up to 79 before it got cool enough outside to turn the fan on and open the windows. We are getting a bonus in a couple of days. Saturday's high is predicted to be only 75. That will be spring's last gasp, though, as by Monday the high will be in the nineties, and will reach that milestone every day through the first week of June. After that I suspect it will get even worse. Nocturnal lows will be creeping up, too, with most of them dropping only into the mid-sixties. Sometime next week I'll probably have to finally turn on the air conditioner. Or die, I suppose. I haven't decided yet.
I want Friday to be a grocery day, but haven't called my niece yet to see if she can pick stuff up for me. It's a holiday weekend, and she sometimes goes out of town for a few days. If she's available I've got a decent sized list of stuff I want from Safeway. Two kinds of beer I buy are on sale this week, and I hope they don't run out of either. I'm sure it will be very much in demand, this being a barbecue holiday. Also a watermelon holiday. Those are also on sale, and I'd buy one myself but I don't have room in my refrigerator. Maybe I'll get one of the small ones they grow now. I miss my young stomach which could gorge on such things. Old guys just can't.
Oh, short video of unusual microtonal guitar music. I find it very relaxing, and wish it was longer, so I've been looping it.
