Tuesday I went to bed even earlier than I had Monday, and again spent most of the night there. I was more or less awake when the rain began falling a bit after four in the morning, then fell back to sleep and had a strange dream that I was watching a lightning storm south of here, even though this storm has no lightning or thunder. I might have heard a train passing and turned it into thunder for the dream.
When it finally came time to get up this morning I had developed another bad stomach ache, and when I rolled over, preparing to sit up, I had an excruciating pain across my midsection, extending around to my back. It's something I've never had before, which I find worrisome. I finally managed to get up, but remained sore for hours. In fact I still feel rather sore. I hope this is not the onset of another issue. Falling apart is such a pain in the ass, and lots of other places. I'd prefer that the pain confine itself to my ass in fact.
So far the rain has been pretty consistent, with no serious downpours, and the wind has been fairly mild. I was thinking about getting some lunch, but started munching on a handy bag of chips and have now taken the edge off of my appetite. I might wait until dinnertime to eat anything substantial. The repetitive stomach aches also have me a bit worried, so I'm not too sure what I should eat to minimize the likelihood of a recurrence.
One of my two magazines I was expecting did arrive Tuesday, but there's one more to come, so I have to keep an eye out for the mail delivery, which is difficult given the position of the mailbox relative to my window, namely invisible. I'll have to start sticking my head out the door periodically to see if the truck is in the street. Another asspain, but given how unlikely it is that the rain will let up this afternoon I have no other alternative but to just let anything that goes into the mailbox get soaked.
Crap. Wrote it, forgot to post it. Being stupid old guy again.
