Waiting

The world is equinoctial today. The thought of balance pleases me, not least because I myself have been so sadly lacking that quality of late. I feel a bit morose, since it will be six months before the days are as long as this once again. The lovely days of autumn are acquired at a price. For the moment, all is suspended in a tranquility I can't help but see as deceptive. Genuine calm continues to elude me, and the still day offers no balm for my restlessness. I'm just waiting it out.
