Noyade: n. - Drowning
Re-reading Richard Wilbur, I saw these lines from After the Last Bulletins in a whole new light:
In empty lots
Our journals spiral in a fierce noyade
Of all we thought to think,
Or caught in corners cramp and wad
And twist our words.
Our journals spiral in a fierce noyade
Of all we thought to think,
Or caught in corners cramp and wad
And twist our words.
