Still

It sounded like a frog, but then it sounded a bit like a duck as well. It was out there for only a minute or two and I didn't get to see it, whatever it was, before it vanished into the ambiguous afternoon that would not rain and would not shine. The ambiguity has now been hidden by night, but I'm quite sure that, unlike the creature who sounded like a frog or a duck, it is still there.

I have heard the frogDucks before. I remember my first time in Amsterdam, sleeping in a tent at "camping Zeeburg" drinking free Grolsch and kissing Joan Jett's dutch twin. The frogDucks that sounded like they may be vomiting.

i was walking out of the music building and heard a frog/cicada or something in a bush.

Central California is very different from Southern California.
