Spring Fall

There was enough clear sky to reveal the nearly full moon not long after sunset, but all afternoon there had been fluffy masses of clouds, sometimes white, more often gray, and the air never got very warm. It was perfect April weather.

Yesterday I forgot the 102nd anniversary of the San Francisco earthquake, which we in northern California like to commemorate by going into unreinforced masonry buildings and then having them collapse on us. As an apology, here's the famous earthquake special effects scene from the 1936 movie "San Francisco", courtesy of YouTube: Rumble rumble.

Really who needs an excuse to go have an unreinforced masonry building collapse on you? Every day is a good day for that.
