Peck

The woodpeckers chattered and pecked far into the dusk this evening. Perhaps they are good forecasters, and were working overtime to get thier tasks done ahead of the storm which, if their past behavior is a good guide, will probably keep them glued to the lee side of the untility pole in front of my house tomorrow. Soft rain began falling about seven o'clock and has continued since. It sounds nice. It smells good.

I'm feeling a bit queasy from the chiropractic adjustment this afternoon, or perhaps from yet another day with too little sleep. Or maybe I've got swine flu. Anyway, I'm off to the showers.

i hope you don't have swine flu and it was just a transient queasiness.

the woodpeckers cluster on a utility pole in the rain? that must be something to see. *g*
