Changeable Moods

Only a handful of fluffy white clouds appeared today, so the rain probably won't happen after all. It's surprisingly chilly this evening, despite the bright sunlight. I still haven't gotten around to raking any of the leaves. They look nice, scattered about, lending the dry lawn an almost festive appearance. Well, maybe not festive so much as post-festive. It looks like the wind had a party and left the ground strewn with its detritus. I didn't get an invitation, and didn't hear a thing. Actually, it doesn't look festive at all. It looks a bit sad.

Well, now I've depressed myself. Maybe I'll go out and rake leaves before it gets dark.

i like the idea of the wind having a party! that's what i'll tell myself as my lawn gets covered in leafy confetti.
