Ouch

I don't know how I managed to get my neck out of place so soon after having it adjusted, but that's what I've done. The shift has brought on a headache, which I hope doesn't keep recurring all month, as they sometimes do.

The lawn next door got mowed this afternoon, and the night still smells of cut grass. This is not a typical autumn scent in these parts, and it keeps putting me in mind of spring. That's not a bad thing, but it is a bit disorienting. It will be even more disorienting when this Indian Summer weather comes to an end and blustery fall returns.

Right now I'm going to go stick some ice on my neck. Maybe it will help.

Indian Summer

Seems like the Indian Summers are more frequent and longer. Why don't we trademark the phrase "Super Indian Summer" or "Indian Summer Afterbirth" and then try to popularize it?

Indian summer is such a racist term! I mean, the Indians GAVE us Autumn, and then took it back?

We better watch out, lest the denizens of [livejournal.com profile] sf_drama get their paws on us...

Sorry your neck is out of alignment again. Hope the ice did help!

I had to mow about 2 acres of grass last week for my elderly parents, which was the first time I've had to do that kind of thing in years. The smell was luxurious, but it broke my heart when my father had me mow over his (apparently) now-defunct bed of Aspara-grass.
