In a feckless mood, unable to concentrate, I spent much of the night at the Slogan Generator, feeding it ambiguously dirty words. That cheered me up. I had a thought. I wonder if Brad ever goes surfing the site, sees some of the stuff that gets posted here, and thinks Oh my God! What have I done? I probably would. And I'm the guy who spent ten minutes reloading "Woody" into the Slogan Generator! Life is weird.

Do you read Metafilter? There are several taglines in circulation there. They load more or less at random. Someone got the ball rolling on inventing new taglines for MeFi and the list has grown into a monster...

Some of them are sort of MeFi in-jokes. But others are dead funny whether or not you read Mefi. (Background: community weblog.)

Metafilter confuses me. It's like walking, drunk, through a party and overhearing a hundred different conversations going on at once.

Though, I do like "a hundred pointless, heckling haikus" and "the limitations are endless."

Maybe they should just post taglines, with nothing behind them.
