If I restore from a backup registry I can get about 20 minutes of stability out of this thing. I don't know how long I can keep doing that. Files are going missing from the Windows kernel,like: 32.DLL>bunchocrapidon'tunderstand.
That can't be good.

why don't you reinstall windows?

My nephew put this computer together and installed the OS. I don't have a copy. I think he may have bootlegged several from his CD. I tried reinstalling from the hard drive, but the number he gave me it input was not accepted by the program. At the moment, the computer seems to be working, and I think its because I just uninstalled the Adaptec CD Creator. I do own a copy of that, but my install was from a copy of that (my nephew seems to have "lost" the original) and I think it was corrupted. Kind of like my nephew apparently is.
Got siblings?
Have them sterilized.
Now, before its too late!
