May Morning and April Shower

I knew I shouldn't have watched that depressing Bergman movie (Ingmar, not Ingrid) last night. Now I find posting anything entirely pointless, just like life. I blame LJ, for being in read-only mode, which is what drove me to television. If only I'd gone and downloaded some porn art, instead! Well, I'm not going to hang myself! I'm going to post another picture!

This will be the companion piece to the sun shower picture I posted a couple of days ago. In that one, the rain was back lit, so it could be seen. In this one, the camera is pointed north, so the rain isn't visible, but the sun was shining, so there are lots of nice reflections on the driveway.



Isn't it a lovely day to be caught in the rain?

I can see the sun up high though we're caught in the storm.

So many of your previous photographs seem taken in completely rural spots. This picture reveals a totally beautiful, well landscaped, developed area. Are there many houses around yours?

My house shares a cul-de-sac with a dozen other houses. The lots are a quarter acre each, about 80' by 132' feet. There are many small neighborhoods such as this scattered about the town, along with surviving stands of second growth forest, a few apple orchards, vineyards and olive groves, and some open fields. Our lot is actually rather small for the area. Most people here have a half acre or more. On the whole, the place is more suburban than rural, even though there's no large city nearby for it to be a suburb of.
