Cricket

There's a cricket in my room. It isn't chirping, but I know it's there because I've seen it a couple of times this evening. Each time I think I can catch it, it scurries away and hides. If I don't catch it and put it outdoors, something bad is likely to happen to it. A cat might catch it. I might step on it in the dark. (Eww.) It might get caught up by the vacuum cleaner. Odd thing is, if I saw a roach that size in the house, I'd freak. When I see roach's music-making cousin, all I worry about is it's welfare. See what talent can do, even for a bug?

"See what talent can do, even for a bug?"

This line spiked up from the computer monitor and went straight for the part of my brainium that laughs at: Mr.Bean, the word 'squirtle', and the Princess Bride.

Thanks for the laugh :)

We had crickets in one house we lived in. Also had three cats, who never once caught one indoors. The crickets were huge, because they ate the cat food...made an incredible racket, also.
