It just took me forty minutes to get connected to the internet with my crappy Juno service. Sure, I'm only paying $4.95 a month for 150 hours of access, but the service is getting so bad! Since they merged with Net Zero, and the paid users of both companies are now sharing two local access numbers (Down from 13 a year ago,) it has become very difficult to get on line during peak hours. Well, at least I've got the cheap service. There are Net Zero customers paying $9.95 and Juno customers paying $14.95 a month to put up with the same crap. I guess what I'm saying is don't get Juno or Net Zero!

wow. that's cheap. I live on an island so internet access is incredibly expensive. 30$ for unlimited (Canadian $)

Actually, that looks a bit cheaper than the price of AOL, which is now $23.95 a month, U.S., I think. Most of my friends are in AOhelL. I was lucky to get the cheap Juno when I did. They are now calling it their "legacy" service, so I guess that price won't be coming back. Still, I'm annoyed that the service has gotten so bad. Allthough, it may soon not exist at all; the merged company, United Online, is losing money fast. I wouldn't be surprised to wake up some day and find it gone. Then, I'd have to go to AOhelL, too. :P

I've never actually tried any of the various drugs available now- I tend to be hypersensitive to any psychoactive substance. I went through a cognitive-behavioral self-help program which worked remarkably well. I still have way too much energy, but I can manage it pretty well in most situations. But, if I ever have to fly, I'm getting a prescription!

After hearing many times of your trials and tribulations with said internet connection, I must sing to you the praises of DSL. *confused pause* "La la la, DSL" Okay, there, I just did. Anyway, it's a bit more $$$ per month but it is SOOOO worth it. Something to think about. . .

I'd love to get DSL, or cable broadband, but, unfortunately, they are still largely a metropolitan service. This place probably won't get them for several years yet. One of the disadvantages of life in a backwater.
