I can't believe how much time I just spent reading this post. Not to mention this post (remember the old days when LJ was Too Cool for School? Heh.) Crap. I've wasted the first evening of Autumn looking at stuff on teh stoopid Internets! And the clouds this evening were so nice, too. I saw one that looked like a giant piece of cauliflower.

I can't get the Beatles' "Lovely Rita, Meter Maid" out of my head.

I wish I could have gone sailing today.

Remember back when livejournal started selling t-shirts?

I still love the LJ, don't get me wrong but lately I feel like all of the small homegrown quality is gone. At one point I felt part of this quaint group of folks who all knew bradfitz. Now every time I see frank shilling something new I feel like all of the cozy goodness about livejournal is gone. I would have worn a livejournal shirt then. Not now.

Yeah, that News post has a decidedly non-LiveJournalish tone-- it's uncomfortably similar to the tone of a speech by a cheerleader running for class president, in fact. But then the author (journal #7637040) "hasn't been here long" and most likely doesn't know the history of the place or have any real understanding of what it was like to be here a few years ago. Being an employee, she gets a permanent account, though. I feel sort of-- violated-- like I've been made to watch goat abuse!
