Fine Mess

The haircut I gave myself the other day makes me look like Stan Laurel. I have no bowler hat with which to cover the hair, though. Well, I look weird wearing a hat anyway, and a neck brace would probably be more appropriate.

I think I missed a visit by deer last night. Roses all along the street have gone missing.

Oh well, there goes another illusion. I had always pictured you as looking more like Terry Thomas, perhaps in a boater, pleasantly lurking in the shadows watching the moon rise. My mental picture of Stan Laural tripping and stumbling in the moon shadows around the house, perhaps snapping his cane in the process and then falling over sideways when trying to lean on it, is much more disturbing.

Most of the time I probably wouldn't fall over, despite my generally poor sense of balance. Tonight I might have, though, as I've had a sudden bout of vertigo. If Ollie were here, I could stumble into him and he would fall over.
