Vanishing Act

Time vanishes, and takes my thoughts with it. When I manage to grab a few minutes to post something, all my ideas are gone. What was it that I noticed tonight? Something about the way the now leafless oaks look in the darkness. The way they seem like shadows of themselves, and when I stare at them long enough, they blend with the sky and become like darker patches within the great darkness. Something like that. I hope that things get back to normal soon, or, at least, I can find a new normal that is livable and leaves me a bit more time to myself.
