rejectomorphToday there was shopping. Between stores I had to be outside in parking lots and, guess what, I didn't get wet once, despite the fact that there've been showers off and on all day. But while the weather was being nice to me, my brain decided (without even consulting me) that I didn't need certain items I'd intended to buy, so I came home without yams or ramen. The ramen can wait as we're not completely out of it yet, but the yams were to be part of tomorrow's dinner and now I must either arrange to go to a market then and fetch some, or work around their yammy absence. Oh, yamless in Paradise!
While today was surprisingly pleasant, the tumbling clouds occasionally parting to reveal sharp winter sun, and the air warmer than I'd expected, there will now be a return to January's accustomed wintry chill, and by tomorrow snow may be falling once again. Well, I'll probably get no yams in that case. What I do have is a block of cheddar, plus a fresh loaf of French bread, and plenty of butter, and my intention tonight is to make grilled cheese. Not all the lack of yams in the world can stop me, and tomorrow be damned!
Also, why has nobody on teh Internets yet used the fake word "e-scutcheon"?
