The new kitty was back this evening, demanding attention. Her extreme friendliness indicates considerable familiarity with people. The fact that she doesn't hang around all night suggests that she might have home to go to. Her insistence on being petted suggests she might not get much attention there. She has very pretty aquamarine eyes, which go well with her semi-tabby gray fur. It's still difficult to keep her from getting through the front door when I go back inside. I'm guessing that she has not yet discovered that there's a back yard. If and when she does, she's apt to meet up with one or both of the feral cats, who usually show up about the same time of day she does. I'm not at all eager to have them all see one another. Oh, kitties.


Anyway, today was hotter than ever. Weather Underground says no relief until Saturday, when the high temperature will be a mere 94, but by Sunday the high will drop down into the eighties. I can hardly wait. Heat makes my brain misfire.
