Sleepless in Sultrytown

rejectomorphI don't think I've had four hours of sleep in a row for the last three days. Mom keeps waking me up at all hours because she has no idea what time it is and there's not always someone else in the house who can respond to her demands immediately. Much drama has ensued, and I'm getting a bit dopey from shortage of sleep. I hope she starts feeling better soon, but I'm doubtful she will at her age.
Clouds have been moving in, and the night air is warm and heavy. There have been thunder storms in the mountains, and a possibility of rain is forecast here for Tuesday. It's feeling more like last year all the time. No fires, please.
Striped kitty and kittens were out back all night last night again, but about eight o'clock this evening the kittens were playing alone there, and I saw striped cat running back from somewhere up the block. Now I don't see any of them out back. I wonder if she's decided to move them and was scouting a new location? If she does, black and white kitty will surely be happy since she'll be able to get into the back yard again, but I'll miss seeing the kittens frolic, and I'll certainly worry about them.
Too much going on and too little sleep makes Joe a dazed boy.
Shower now, and I hope mom doesn't wake up and try to go walkabout while I'm in there.
