It keeps turning midnight. Like at the end of every day it turns midnight. What's up with that? I suppose it has to be done, or the calendar companies would go out of business, but it's still irritating. Things could be better arranged, I'm sure. Evening could last longer, for example. Everything could just stop for a few hours while the pale light of dusk hangs in the air. Then it could be midnight. I'd much prefer that to waiting all those dark hours for so anticlimactic an event as midnight. Why wasn't I consulted when this system was set up?
