Warm days have finally arrived but, as I'd suspected, hot days will quickly follow. Summer will trample spring into the dust. I do look forward to the long evenings, though. They've been wasted during the rains. Soon I'll be able to bask in warm, jasmine-scented air while watching the stars emerge.

Dealing with the paperwork following Mom's death has begun, and paperwork for Dad's death in February is still coming in. Before I die I intend to dispose of everything I have and then quietly vanish. The idea of leaving only a digital trace appeals to me. The public and corporate bureaucrats won't dog my memory or even puzzle over me because they won't even know I've gone.
