Alger turned up with dozens of nettles stuck in his fur again this evening. He was very patient while I combed them out— well, most of them came out. A few are still stuck in him. But if I tried to comb Portia like that I'd end up covered in bites and scratches, instead of just a few nettle stickers. Alger has turned into one of the sweetest-tempered cats I've ever known, even though he's still fairly skittish. He probably wouldn't let anybody else comb him, though. Other people freak him out, and he avoids them. He tends to avoid other cats, too, except for his litter mate Farrah. I don't know how he'd react to his mom if she came around again. I haven't seen her in weeks.

Well, kitties. One never knows how they'll turn out.
