Because shopping got shifted to Monday, Monday got shot to Hell. I had no idea how many old people and women with babies did their grocery shopping on Mondays. It took forever to get out of there. Plus they were out of stuff that I wanted. Then I got home and had to clean up a wet hairball Portia had hacked up on the couch. All this was on top of me oversleeping because I had forgotten to lower the thermostat after taking a shower. Sleeping in a room that's too hot always puts me in a near-coma.

So my day bit, but things are worse for the cicadas. They've been dying in the sink on my back porch. Oversleeping, shopping, and cleaning up kitty hairballs are all less unpleasant than dying in a sink must be, I'm sure. I still wish I had some of the soup the store was out of, though.
