The roof got repaired Wednesday. The six hour project interfered with my sleep schedule, so I'm dopey now from a post-dinner nap of three hours. The new roof might get tested later today, as more rain could be on the way. It probably won't be like the last storm, though. That one dropped about five inches of rain on us, which is spectacular for October. The lawn should be turning green soon, just in time to get buried by leaves.


Rats. Fell asleep again without posting this entry. It's after three o'clock in the morning and an owl is hooting nearby. Portia wants out but I'm keeping her in. Too many other out at night and I don't want any fights.

Still groggy. Might as well have some beer.
