Chirpless

There were no fewer than three crickets in my garage tonight. There might have been others that I didn't see. None were chirping. They could have been females who had already mated and were looking for places to lay their eggs. If they lay them in the garage they might get swept say before they can hatch. I have to clean the place out soon, because we're going to do some painting in there. I do hope the crickets went back outdoors to make their deposits. I like crickets, and look forward to hearing the new generation next spring.
