Beware of Warm Blankets

We finally got more rain this morning. There were even a couple of good downpours, though they didn't last very long. By afternoon there was little more than intermittent mist full of small birds chirping loudly. As the clouds began breaking up the air turned even colder, and I curled up on the couch under a heavy blanket to watch something on television, but I fell asleep and slept so long that I missed the sunset altogether. I wonder if it was lurid? Tomorrow's weather will probably be mostly a rerun of todays, so I can try to stay awake then and maybe I'll see an approximation of what I missed this evening.

There is a small chance that there will be a bit of snow tonight. If there is, and I get to see it, I guess I can thank my unintentional afternoon nap, which will probably keep me awake most of the night. Meanwhile, I'm listening to this aria from an Australian ballet, which I can guarantee is Lemur-approved.
