I was right. Juno is bogarting my e-mail! I just got 21 messages in one big clump, followed a minute later by two more. Some of them were things I e-mailed to myself from the New York Times yesterday evening. Annoying. About half of them were LJ comments. It will take me a while to get around to answering them.
In the meantime, thanks for all the comments on the pictures. Eventually, I'm going to try uploading a few to Webshots, to see if the quality is any better there than it is at Tripod. I suspect that their poor appearance is more the fault of the point-and-shoot camera (and the photographer) than it is of the web site, though. Also, those four pictures I've posted so far may have been the ones that were on Fuji film. I need to go through my files and find those taken on Kodak, which tends to be a bit more vivid. Still, I won't be posting anything as good as
edbook's photographs. And Tripod doesn't allow free users to load pictures on their server to another site, so I can't put them in the journal. You have to go to my tripod page to see them. (Nothing new has been added yet. This link is just for anyone who might have missed the earlier one.)
Thanks.
