I'm on Bratwurst, too, so I among the first to lose the the ability to post, on Wednesday afternoon. This official explanation of the event suggests that I could have lost the ability to load my friends page, too, but I never did. Apparently nobody posting anything to my friends page at the time was on cluster 7 or cluster 9. If LJ had still been as busy as it was a few years ago, I probably would have gotten 501 errors for my friends page as well as for my update page and journal pages.
There's still no explanation for how the clusters got corrupted to begin with, though. I hope it wasn't something that's going to recur.
