rejectomorphMy hair has gotten too long again and is irritating me. I wish I'd hacked it off before I took a shower. Tomorrow I'll remember to do it. Although if it keeps tickling my ears I might do it tonight and take a second shower (little bits of stray hair inevitably get under my shirt and make me itch if I don't shower right after doing the hacking.) Tonight I almost envy bald guys, but with winter coming up I won't shave my head completely. There has to be some hair to keep my head warm, lest I be forced to wear a hat through the cold seasons, and, sadly, I don't have a hat face. I've just never looked anything but silly in any sort of hat. Hoodies are okay, of course, but if I wear my hoodie up all the time while indoors it won't feel warm enough when I go outside. Ah, life is just one long conundrum.
When I woke up much too early this morning I went out back to feed the feral cats much too early, and I looked up and saw Orion. It's been a long time since I've noticed him up there. With my disarranged sleep schedule I don't get out at might as much as I once did. I hadn't realized how much I'd missed seeing Orion. He's something imperturbable. The whole world can change and he remains the same. I found it very relaxing to stand there watching him for a few minutes.
But getting up that early left me short of sleep, so I managed to nap a bit this morning, but not this afternoon. I'm yawning right now, so I should start winding down. If I don't get to sleep soon enough then I'll get overtired and I'll be up for hours. I just hope my tickling hair doesn't prevent me from getting to sleep.
