I love almonds, but my teeth have gotten fragile enough that I hesitate to eat them whole. The almonds, not the teeth. You know. I had a friend in college who used to buy dates, stuff them with something or other (almonds?), and roll them in coconut to make candy. Fancy, huh?
I caught sight of the Cascades to the east this morning when I drove out to the bargain store -- there's snow on the tallest of them. Yay, snow! I look forward to the Olympics stunning me all winter, when I'm lucky enough to spot them from the road.
