There was no sunset tonight. The thin clouds began thickening this afternoon and have brought a premature dusk. The storm is definitely on the way, but there's a question of whether the rain will begin tonight or will hold off until tomorrow. Right now a breeze is fluttering the new leaves of the mulberry tree outside my window, and the air smells damp. If this band of clouds passes and the night turns clear it will get very cold. There are three or four cold days on the way, and a couple of nights that could get close to freezing. Winter is wagging its skinny tail at us, but spring will run it off soon enough. I feel as though I should give it a pat before it goes. I doubt it has any teeth left to bite with.
