There were things I was going to do on the Internets yesterday, but then I fell asleep and it got too late so I figured I do them today, but I'd only been connected for half an hour this morning when AT&T decided that I wouldn't do them after all, and pulled the Internets out from under me. I called their service number and a recording told me it was a general problem in the area and I should be patient. I was so patient I fell asleep again and didn't wake up until after nine o'clock this evening. The Internets were gone for at least six hours that I know of, but I'll never know when they came back. I'm pretty sure they are back, though, unless I only dreamed I woke up and I'm in fact still asleep and dreaming of the Internets. But I really don't want to think about that, as everything is weird enough as it is/might be.
But there's a lot of catching up to do, and won't be enough time to do it all as dinner must be prepared and eaten and cable must be watched, and I have no idea what cable might get up to if I don't watch it, and better safe than sorry so I'm going to watch. Oh, and my smoke alarm kept making that chirp that it makes when its batteries are low, so I disconnected it, but I have no replacement batteries, so if I never show up here again it's probably because my house will have burned down while I was asleep and the smoke alarm didn't wake me up because it had no batteries. Either that or the cable swallowed me because I wasn't watching it and I'm on some Purple Rose of Cairo trip. That will be a bummer because if I have to get sucked into a Woody Allen movie I'd rather it was Radio Days.
