Thursday stayed sprinkly instead of getting genuinely rainy, and I got tired and crashed around nine o'clock in the evening. The nap ended a bit after two in the morning, and I went outside and saw the moon through thinning clouds. I also heard a series of fireworks going off— eight booms, each a few seconds apart. Later I came across a post on a local Facebook page saying that the event was way on the other side of downtown, upwards of two and a half miles from here. It must have been really loud for anyone near the explosions.

After the nap I couldn't remember if I'd eaten dinner or not, so I made a sandwich. Now I'm feeling tired again and will probably try to go back to sleep before sunrise, though the sky is already getting brighter. There is still some overcast, so maybe the sun won't be too bright. It's still chilly, so the covers will be up to my chin and the hoodie will be pulled down over my forehead. I've got a bit of headache, and the cold makes it worse. It probably won't rain today, but Saturday is likely to get wet. In fact it looks like another entire week of cool weather with occasional rain is coming up. What a weird year this is being.
