If W is serious about forming an alliance with moderate Islamic states, he might want to think twice about using the word crusade. I don't really expect our politicians to be knowledgable about history or the nuances of language, but what about the people who are supposed to be vetting their speeches? Where is Peggy Noonan when you need her?
