Yay San Diego
May. 7th, 2002 03:24 pmSince Sluggo's behavior has improved, I've been able to use the client to make some posts. A handy little device. It makes it easier to write quick entries in those little bits of time that become available. Right now, for example.
I've mentioned that one of my favorite web sites is that of the San Diego Historical Society, with its nice collection of well-displayed postcards. And I've mentioned how annoyed I am by most museum sites because they only display small images of works in their collections. I don't know why I never bothered to look before, but it turns out that the San Diego Museum is much more generous with its images than are most museums. The collection itself is not very large, but you get a pretty good sized screen image of some nice paintings and drawings. Unfortunately, one exception to the rule of large images is in the travelling exhibit of Toulouse-Lautrec posters, going on now. Still, even at the smaller size, the posters are nice.
Update: That second link was broken. Sorry. It's fixed now.
