Congruence

Does anyone else find it amusing that our American elections coincide with the English celebration of Guy Fawkes Day? (That site has a recipe for Treacle Toffee, by the way. Looks horrifying.) So, the English are celebrating an event that didn't take place, while we are having elections that most of us don't participate in. There is an odd symmetry to it all. Parliament didn't get bombed, and we elect the same pols to congress over, and over, and over. My thought for the day; reality is weird.

Blah, Tuesday. Tuesday morning, I have to stay up late to put the trash out. I can't put it out the night before, because raccoons and stray dogs like to pop the cans open, turn them over, and strew the trash up and down the street. So, I wait until the first light and put the can out, just before the truck arrives. Then I get to sleep late, and wake up late, and spend the afternoon and evening trying to catch up with myself. I never get anything done on Tuesday.

By the way, gay sheep. (Link stolen from weetanya.)
