And, more importantly, why?

I was sure I could finish what I was working on tonight.

Bad Friday

I had to go shopping (shudder) today. Every time I go shopping, I get a headache. Today, the headache may be in part due to the fact that I'm bedeviled by Murphy's Law. (That's the one that says if something can go wrong, it will, not the one that say's the bed that is hidden in the wall will fall down and reveal your mistress while your wife is in the room.

It began with the cat throwing up on the bed and on the upholstery of the couch when I'd been awake for about five minutes. Then, I kept forgetting things. Then stores were out of things I needed and I had to go to other stores. Then I got a lamp for Sluggo's desk, and when it was assembled and I went to plug it in, I remembered that my power strip is full, so the lamp is moribund until I get a new power strip (with six orifices this time, instead of five.) Then a stray straight pin lost on the bathmat lodged itself in my foot after my shower. I expect to die of tetanus before morning.

Other than that, and a few other minor annoyances, the day was quite pleasant. The clouds hung around until evening, but there was no rain. I would have liked to stop and get some pictures on my peregrinations about town, as there were some nice views of the valley today, but there was no time. Once summer sets in, the haze will obscure the views, so spring is the best time for pictures. Well, anything I took today probably wouldn't have turned out, anyway. One of those days. Now, if Sluggo will please co-operate, I'll post this and be done with it.

Also, my email from LJ is being badly delayed, or not showing up at all, and I don't know if it's LJ at fault, or Juno email. Other stuff seems to be coming through OK, so I suspect LJ, but there's nothing about it in the known issues box. Feh. Fix it, Braaaad! (/whine)
