Tidier Still

It turned out to be 19 AOL CD's. I found three more. Ah, the rewards of housecleaning. The room does, indeed. look marginally larger than it has for a long time, and I am able to open dresser drawers I haven't opened in more than a year. There are wonders to behold within, but I'm too busy to examine them. I've also unearthed more than fifty dollars in change, so I've been well rewarded. Well, rewarded, anyway. Projects such as this tend to take on a life of their own, though. I don't yet know how long this one will live.

Arrrr! Today is Talk Like a Pirate Day! Hmmm. I'm not sure I can sound like Richard Grasso.

Once more, I will attempt to get to sleep before the light begins to seep through the curtains. It's a bit easier, now that the light doesn't arrive until after six o'clock.

I have seen few posts from the east coast tonight. I hope nobody is drowning, and the roofs are still on everyone's houses, and, if the power is out, I hope it returns soon.

Dry

Moderate heat is making Sluggo cranky, but I can't turn on the air conditioner. The power bill is going to be flabbergasting as it is. The change I dug up while cleaning (more than sixty dollars worth, it turns out) isn't going to last long. I'm happy to hear acorns falling once in a while, though. Autumn is not far off. Cooler days mean more computer time.

I'm drinking coffee. Soon, I will be jittery and jumpy. More so than usual, I mean. I need it after that near miss with the hurricane. It came within 3000 miles of my house! What an exhausting experience. I'll never forget it.
