Moonlight mist sounds as though it would be the name of one of those mixed drinks that tastes like soda pop, and ends up knocking you on your ass, leaving you with a hangover that lasts for days, doesn't it? But the moonlight mist I had tonight was a gift of the overcast sky, and the half moon which managed to shine a pale light through the drifting veil. It was quite refreshing, and now everything sparkles with the dew it left behind. I doubt that any hangover will ensue.

At the same time, I don't think that a few alcoholic beverages would be a bad idea right about now, hangover or not. Four more beers, four more beers!

I think I screwed up the poll in my last entry. I went back to edit the entry itself (a missing letter not caught by spellcheck) and though I didn't try to edit the poll itself, I can't see the thing now on any page. Maybe I'll do it over. Drat. I should have copied and saved it with clipboard!

Busy all afternoon, I had little time for observing the day, but the crisp weather continues. The walnut tree has gone from mostly green to mostly bright yellow almost overnight. It looks quite splendid when it catches the light of the evening sun for a few minutes. The rain has all gone, and there were few clouds hanging about today. In fact, Sunday is expected to be warm- perhaps even in the 70s. A bit of Indian Summer is usual for November. I look forward to the interlude.

I finally got around to joining [livejournal.com profile] theflappers, which I have been intending to do for quite a while but kept forgetting. I don't have any pictures to post there yet, but I enjoy seeing the various relics of the 1920's and the contemporary faux '20s photographs the members post. The community has a surprising large membership, especially considering the fact that the average age of LJ users is still only about 19. I guess a lot of people have nostalgia for a time which was gone long before they were born. Rock on vo-do-dee-oh-do.
