The hours are less substantial than the clouds. The former vanish, while the latter persist and continue to drip. I have slaughtered hundreds of ants, but accomplished little else. Every once in a while, I have to deal with reality the way I deal with my check register (yes, I still use checks): When the register inevitably gets screwed up, instead of going back to find all the mistakes, I just take the bank's figure for the month and start over from there, and when reality gets to the point that I know I'll never catch up with all the stuff that's undone, I just forget as many of those things as I can afford to and start over. It works... sort of.
Oh, and my oven is broken. Stove-top food (no, I don't cook in the microwave- that's for reheating stuff) until it gets fixed. Getting the oven fixed is one thing I can't afford to forget. I cannot live without melty, browned cheese dishes!
