Disruption

Something treed the cat a while ago. I don't know if it was another kitty or some other creature. I didn't get a look at it. All I heard was the running and yowling, and Sugar scrambling up the tree trunk. By the time I got out there, whatever it was had vanished. Sugar wouldn't come down from the tree for ten minutes, though, and then headed directly for the house. I'm going to be wondering what creature could have scared her so badly, and whether or not it's going to be coming back.

My head didn't hurt for a while. Now it hurts again.

Ow! Again

We need a leash law for dragons. Every time I went out the door today, hot dragon breath swirled around me. I haven't seen any actual dragons, but the whole town is polluted by the heat of their breath, so I know they're there.

This was not as bad as what happened while I was sleeping, though. I had only been asleep for about an hour when some invisible creature sneaked into my room and plunged invisible syringes into my eyes, injecting my brain with a caustic substance which burned away the tissue and produced the most remarkable pain I've ever experienced. I was profoundly grief-stricken that the utter destruction of my frontal lobes did not cause my immediate death. I'd have given anything to be dead at that moment. It took close to an hour before the pain subsided sufficiently that I could return to sleep. When I woke this afternoon, I found that my left eye was partly bloodshot. I have a suspicion that this is not a good sign.

As I still have no idea what creature it was that treed my cat last night, I'm a bit worried about letting her out tonight. She'll find her way out one way or another, I know. If she has to, she'll invoke her power to pass through solid walls. I'll just have to keep listening for sounds of trouble so I can intervene in case the mysterious creature returns.

Appointment tomorrow afternoon for further head yanking. No more cerebral hemorrhages, please.
