Hot and Not So
Aug. 10th, 2006 04:04 pmMore heat, more lassitude. The water bill came today . It was appalling. More plants will have to die. Every other yard on the block (except the graveled one) is lush and green, and this one is filled with brown patches. This is our punishment for long ago having conserved water prematurely.
The dog next door saw his first skunk early this morning. He barked furiously for several minutes and was lucky not to get sprayed. The skunk trotted back and forth along the fence several times, tormenting the dog.
I'm not getting the fierce headaches in the afternoon, but still feel like I'm running on half a brain. My leg joints are still stiff, too, and I can't sit in this chair for more than a few minutes at a time. Beer still tastes funny to me, so I still count this as a massive illness.
